Airclaims (UK) Opens New Office in Johannesburg

Boeing purchased US$365 million in parts from Denel and Aerosud companies in South Africa, as part of 30 percent offset deal with South African Airways, which is tied to purchase of 21 B737-800s in July 2000. Boeing completed $197 million offset purchases in six years and continues purchasing parts from South Africa.

 

Airclaims (UK) opens new office in Johannesburg, and appoints Jaco van der Merwe as Country Manager of South Africa.

 

Arik Air (NG) receives approval to operate Abuja – Istanbul beginning June 2011.
