DVB Bank (Germany) posts 1H 2010 net profit before taxes of US$78.3 million, down 3.8 percent compared with same time last year. Total assets reported at US$26.9 billion as of June 30, up 17.3 percent from December 2009.

Ethiopian Airlines temporarily canceled service from Addis Ababa to Djibouti, due to dispute with CAA of Djibouti over type of aircraft that can be operated. Ethiopian recently switched from B737 to Q400 turboprop.

Egyptair aims to make profit of US$132 million in year to June 2011 and press ahead with fleet plans. Carrier expecting four B737-800s by end of 2010 and two B777-300s in November and December 2010. Also, Egyptair not planning initial public offering, but remains option for future.

ILFC (US) plans to tap debt markets in coming weeks to raise roughly US$4 billion in effort to repay funds that its parent AIG borrowed from Federal Reserve Bank of New York, according to AIG Chief Executive Robert Benmosche.

ILFC (US) reports pre-tax operating profit of US$182 million for three months to June 30, down from US$335 million year earlier. Company recovered from loss in prior quarter despite booking US$60 million in asset impairments on aircraft values.
