IATA reports 2H 2010 net profit of US$4.4 billion for airline industry, with 3Q expected to be most profitable of year.

Sky Work Airlines (Switzerland) expects to place order for CSeries as part of its planned expansion. Carrier planning to lease two A319s or B737-700s until CSeries becomes available in 2014. Sky Work also looking to lease single Q400.

UTAir (Russia) selects 75-seat and 95-seat variants of Sukhoi Superjet 100 to replace its fleet of TU134s.

LAM (Mozambique) to resume services from Maputo to Lisbon with leased B767-300ER on 28 March 2011.

Paramount Airways (India) application to import five Q400s rejected by CAA of India. Carrier is also in court to appeal CAA decision to suspend its AOC.

Azul (Brazil) takes delivery of single E195, its 22nd aircraft in its fleet. Four more deliveries due by end of 2010.
