Embraer signs framework agreement with AVIC (China) aiming to implement Legacy 600/650 production line in China, using infrastructure, financial resources and workforce of their joint venture company Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Company.

SkyWest (US) looks to acquire 30 percent stake in Mekong Air (Vietnam), which is set to launch in October 2011. SkyWest to operate Bombardier aircraft for planned domestic Vietnamese carrier.

Russian government considering zero import duties for turboprops with capacity up to 70 passengers, says Deputy Transport Minister Valery Okulov. There is 20 percent import duty for aircraft between 50 – 300 seats.
